The Limassol Marathon 2024 consists of six different races across the 13th and 14th of April 2024.
The main races are on Sunday, 14th of April 2024 from 7.30 am.

The Limassol Marathon is the biggest mass participation event in Cyprus, attracting around 16,000 runners from Cyprus and worldwide.

Limassol Marathon - HELPFUL INFORMATION
The Limassol Marathon weekend offers six races across two days plus other events, including a “Pasta Party” and more…
In addition to the main 42-kilometre Limassol Marathon on Sunday, the 14th of April 2024, there are five other races, which means people of all fitness levels, including you, can be part of the action.
Plus, there are many other ways to enjoy the weekend as a volunteer or spectator, providing invaluable help and support to everyone participating. Everything you need to know is here, so let’s get into the details

The Limassol Marathon 2024 - The 5KM Corporate Race
The PRIMETEL 5KM Corporate Race

04 – 60 Runners: €300 euro*
61 – 150 Runners: €400 euro*

The Primetel 5KM corporate race is aimed at teams from companies and each team can be as small as four and up to one hundred and fifty.
The corporate race is a chance to build team spirit, create a talking point with your customers, clients and suppliers, promote your participation via your own social media channels and have fun doing it!
On the day, you can also wear branded T-shirts to promote your company which is great for business, keeping in mind the Limassol Marathon is televised, and pictures circulate all over social media.
Raise money for a charity of your choice.
Although not a requirement for entry, teams are also encouraged to use this opportunity to raise money for a charity of their choice, and to make this easier, there is an online donation system. A link to the online portal is below.
The portal already has a list of popular charities, but if there’s a charity you wish to support that isn’t listed, contact given-gain.com, and they will do their best to help.

The Dashin Foundation Youth Race

The Youth Race takes place on Saturday, the 13th of April, 2024, at 11.30 am and entry into this event is completely free!
Therefore, this is the perfect opportunity to get the kids to put down their iPads and get them out into the open air. Parents can also run alongside their kids too.
The Youth Race is sponsored by Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation (a not-for-profit organisation based in Limassol) and, unsurprisingly, aims to promote running and fitness to our youngsters.

The OPAP Limassol Marathon 2024

The OPAP Limassol Marathon Race is fully accredited by AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races)
The race offers a flat course that starts in the city centre, progresses along the seafront to the ruins of the ancient Royal city of Amathus, and back again.
This race is 42.195 kilometres (26.2188 miles), the official distance for a full marathon.

Volunteering or spectating at the Limassol Marathon
Volunteers (sponsored by McDonald’s Cyprus)
The success of the Limassol Marathon depends on the help provided by volunteers and also the spectators.
Over 700 volunteers of all ages and backgrounds help to make the Limassol Marathon run smoothly.

Spectators
Finally, never underestimate the role you can play as a spectator, adding to the brilliant atmosphere of the Limassol Marathon and supporting the participants.
Even if you are not a big fan of running events, we’re sure you’ll be amazed at the atmosphere at this event, so give it a go.
No tickets are required. Just be in Limassol on Saturday the 13th or Sunday the 14th of April 2024, find a good spot to watch the race (there are many) and cheer or clap as the runners pass.
Limassol Marathon 2024 - Event Location on Google Maps
All the races start and finish around Molos in Limassol (which means the “Mole Pier” when translated into English).
If you don’t know Limassol, th is area is wonderful on the Limassol seafront.
Remember there will be road closures and parking near Molos will be limited across the marathon weekend.
Flying to Cyprus for the Limassol marathon?
If you are coming from overseas, you can fly to either of the two airports here in Cyprus.
Limassol is between Paphos International Airport and Larnaca International Airport and both are 50 minutes away by car, taxi or bus.
Also, both airports are serviced by British Airways, Easy Jet, Wizz Air, Ryanair, Jet2 and many more.
Limassol Marathon 2024 - Our View
Our view about the Limassol Marathon is either “go for it” or at least “go to it”.
With such an array of races, there’s something for everyone looking to participate.
It’s also fair to say, as good as the other marathons are here in Cyprus, the fast and flat course offered in Limassol and the sheer scale of this event is unbeatable.
People travel from around the world to participate, so perhaps it’s time to make 2024 the year you experience the Limassol Marathon weekend too.
No matter what race you participate in, you’ll feel like a winner, and everyone who takes part walks away with a medal! Something to keep and treasure for years to come.
And if running is not your thing, participating as a volunteer or spectator is a great idea, and we’re sure you’ll love the experience.
