New Years Eve Fireworks in Limassol and Larnaca 2024 into 2025
New Year’s Eve 2024 into 2025 will be celebrated with SILENT fireworks in Limassol and Larnaca.
Options for celebrating New Year’s Eve in Cyprus are always limited and with good reason!
It’s because because most locals stay at home with their families until Midnight. It’s the time when many Cypriots exchange Christmas gifts (a tradition inherited from Greece). Then, after midnight, younger family members go to bars and nightclubs, which start filling up at around 12.30 am.
That said, if you are looking for fireworks, you can find them this year in Limassol and Larnaca.
However, don’t expect the usual whooshes and bangs this year because both Municipalities have decided for the first time ever to use SILENT FIREWORKS.
Silent fireworks are made with a reduced amount of flash powder, reducing the noise level they produce. The aim is to reduce noise pollution and avoid upsetting pets and people who are sensitive to loud noise.

New Years Eve Fireworks 2024 into 2025 In Limassol

8 pm to 1 am – December 31st 2024 into January 1st 2025
What’s happening there?
The celebrations will begin at Michalis Kakoyannis Square near the old port with a performance by AMBIENCE TRIO from 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
The ensemble features tenor Andreas Aroditis, flautist Konstantinos Makaritis, and pianist Aris Antoniades, who will perform a diverse repertoire including Broadway hits, Disney classics, and timeless melodies from artists such as The Beatles and Sting.
DJ Berek will then take over until 1:00 am, creating a family-friendly festive atmosphere before the municipality welcomes 2025 with an innovative silent fireworks display.
According to the press release, the groundbreaking pyrotechnics show will feature spectacular visual effects whilst significantly reducing noise pollution compared to traditional fireworks.
