There are just three hotels in Paphos Cyprus rated as “exceptional” by Booking.com.
1. The Elysium Hotel Paphos
Our video filmed in August 2023 shows that the Elysium Hotel in Paphos is world-class.
The Elysium turned 21 this year, having first opened in May 2022, but thanks to the classic styling throughout and excellent property maintenance, the Elysium feels as incredible today as it did on its opening day.
The hotel is just off Tomb of The Kings Road, which links Paphos with Coral Bay and the Akamas National Park. The popular Tombs of The King’s attraction, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is within walking distance, as are many restaurants and bars.
The hotel has access to a small but very pleasant beach. They have a small peer, meaning you can dip in the Med anytime you like without being covered in sand.
Loosely translated, Elysium means “a state of great happiness,” which is why this is a perfect name for this hotel.
2. Amavi - Made for two hotels - Paphos
As the name confirms. the Amavi Made For Two Hotel in Paphos is designed for adults only (18 years old and above). This makes the hotel perfect for couples.
The Amavi Hotel opened in March 2019, received over 1,500 reviews on Booking.com, and is rated “exceptional”.
Developed under the Made-for-Two™ brand, Amavi Hotel is situated in a perfect location directly on one of the many Blue Flag beaches in Paphos.
3. Minthis Resort Paphos
Minthis Resort Paphos offers a different experience to the hotels above because it is set away from the coast, in the hills above Paphos.
You’ll find the hotel and resort in a wonderful little place called Tsada (which is pronounced “sarda” because the ‘T’ is silent).
Minthis Resort Paphos is part of the respected Minthis Hill Golf Club development, just a short walk away.
The hotel opened in 2022 and offers one or two-bedroom suits or larger two or three-bedroom villas. In addition, there is a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, and guests can use the spa and wellness centre, which offers an indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, and bar.
All accommodation overlooks the golf course or the countryside where the hotel is situated.
If you are looking for a “sun, sea and sand” holiday, be aware that Minthis Resort is not located on the coast. Paphos Harbour and its surrounding Blue Flag beaches are a 25 to 30-minute drive/taxi ride away as are locations such as Polis or Latchi, which offer an array of water sports and access to the amazing Blue Lagoon by boat or jet ski (which we highly recommend you visit during your stay).
